My journey to becoming a strength and conditioning coach hasn’t been easy, or short.
After graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in Exercise Science, my plan was to gain real-world experience and apply to physical therapy school. While working at an outpatient clinic, I realized that physical therapy wasn’t the path my heart was set on. What I did discover was a true passion for working with youth athletes: helping them get stronger, move faster, and perform at a higher level.
That realization led me to pursue the NSCA-CSCS certification, the gold standard in the strength and conditioning field. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of training athletes headed to play in college, and even a few who made it to the professional level. For the past 15 years, I’ve dedicated myself to becoming one of the top physical education teachers/strength coach in the area.
Now, I’m focused on helping anyone ready to level up: whether it’s new parents, former athletes who still love the game, or someone who just needs a knowledgeable push to get started. And of course, I’ll always have a place for young athletes with big dreams. In addition to the strength and speed aspect of the game, I’ve recently added Precision Nutrition Level 1 certification to my credentials, giving clients evidence-based support in both performance and nutrition. DLO Performance gives me the opportunity to coach and work with you online. WHEREVER you are.
